Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some of the questions that people have been asking about Limmud After Dark...

What is Limmud?

Founded in the UK in 1980, Limmud aims to enable every participant to take one step further on his or her Jewish journey — no matter their age, gender, level of Jewish knowledge or commitment to Jewish life. To learn more, see our Mission Statement.

What is the program?

The evening will consist of a musical Havdalah and dessert reception, followed by two one-hour session slots — each with several different options to choose from. Click here to see the programming options. You do not need to choose your sessions in advance.

Can I present a session?

It's a core Limmud value that "Everyone should be a student and anyone can be a teacher." Unfortunately, we have reached capacity for presenters at this event.

I have special needs, what about me?

Participant care is always central to our events. Please email our volunteer team with any medical, access, or other needs in advance, and we will aim to accommodate you.

How do I get there?

Conveniently located in beautiful Bel Air, AJU is near the intersection of the 405 and 101 Freeway in Los Angeles.

I don't have a car, can I still get to the event?

There will be a shuttle from the JW Marriott LA Live, departing at 6:30 pm and returning at 10:30 pm. The cost is $10.00 each way and you must book in advance.

Can I bring my kids?

Unfortunately, there will not be children's programming or childcare at Limmud After Dark. However, teenagers are welcome to attend.

How much does it cost?

$20.00 Early Bird tickets are available online through November 7th. After that, the cost increases to $30.00. At-door tickets are subject to availability.

Where can I sign up?

You can purchase advance tickets and book the shuttle on our Eventbrite page.
