Manchester Limmud 2017 - Directions & Parking
William Hulme's Grammar School (WHGS)
Spring Bridge Road
Manchester M16 8PR
Traveling by Car:
William Hulme's Grammar School is near the junction of Princess Parkway (A5103) and Wilbraham Road (A6010).
You can access Princess Parkway from the M60, if coming from the West or East, or from the A57 if coming from the North. From the South, the suggested route is M6 to A556 to M56. After passing Manchester Airport, do not follow the M56, which continues on the left (signposted to Didsbury), but stay on the right for A5103 / Princess Parkway, signposted for Manchester City Centre.
This leads to the intersection with Barlow Moor Road (A5145). Continue through this junction. You will pass a cemetery on the left, then playing fields and a new sports centre. Cross the next junction - you will then see Whalley Range High School on your left. Turn left at the traffic lights marked A6010 Chorlton - this is Wilbraham Road.
Disabled Parking - there is limited parking at the venue (much less than last year), so on-site parking is reserved for those with disabled badges. There are space at the side and also at the rear of the school. Directions - Spring Bridge Road is the first right turn off of Wilbraham Road. The school is on the right.
Whalley Range High School on Wilbraham Road, M16 8GW, is our main carpark. After turning onto Wilbraham Road from Princess Parkway, the car park is on your left, just past the pedestrian crossing. Spring Bridge Road is immediately opposite this car park - walk up Spring Bridge Road for a few minutes, WHGS is on your right.
This car park is shared with the Leisure Centre, so there are always spaces reserved for them. If a Limmud volunteer or Security Staff say that there is no more room, please find alternative parking!
Street parking - There is ample parking on local streets near the venue, including on the south side of Mauldeth Road West (Hough End Playing Field side) which is 0.6 miles from the venue. If you do park on local streets, please respect the local residents by parking considerately and responsibly.
All parking is free, but will be at Limmud participants’ own discretion. Limmud cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever.
