The non-sectarian, non-confrontational environment will open doors into our rich religious and cultural heritage.
Open Doors for everyone. Limmud is committed to furthering Jewish education through formal and informal learning. Limmud is a festival of Jewish learning and culture, for all ages, interests and religious adherence. Limmud is a charitable organisation with no denominational or political agenda.
Open Doors with diverse presenters. There will be more than 40 local and national leaders and educations, including:
Ze'ev Amit, Geraldine Auerbach, Janet Berenson-Perkins, Jacklyn Chernett, Mark Daniels, Brian Fox, Tony Hammond, Clive Lawton, Fiyaz Mughal, David Newman, Elkan Presman, David Rome, Marc Saperstein, Sybil Sheridan, Jan Shore, Leon Smith, Richard Stone, Ned Temko, Malcolm Weisman, Jonathan Wittenberg. Open Doors to choose from. There will be six sessions every hour to choose from. You can attend any session, or simply relax over a coffee and chat to other participants. There will also be a children's programme, and a crèche for the under-4s.
Open Doors and relax. When you want a break, you can visit the Limmud Market Stalls for a wide selection of Judaica, music and books which will be on sale. Or you can sit quietly in a lounge area.
Open Door catering. Refreshments will be available throughout the day. Lunch will be strictly kosher sandwiches, salads and drinks. Vegetarian food is available if pre-ordered but we regret that we cannot cater for other special diets.
Open Doors with the community volunteers. The day has been planned by a team of volunteers from the South East London Jewish community. It will be a stimulating and invigorating day, and an opportunity for those who have not been able to attend the five-day national Limmud Conference, as well as confirmed Limmudniks, to taste the Limmud way of experiencing Jewish learning.
Open doors in a bright new college. Bromley College is now a bright modern campus, easily acessible via the M25 or A21. The nearest rail station is Bromley South, from which it is a five-minute bus ride or 25-minute walk. There is plenty of free car parking on site, and access for people who are disabled.
