Get your groove on!

This year, Limmud Fest is really emphasising the Festival atmosphere. We have a gorgeous, green new site in Kent, which adjoins the South Downs, and is just 90 minutes from London. It is going to make for a fantastic festival, but we also have some great changes to the programme: Lots more music, a plethora of spoken word, poetry and literature, and of course Limmud's dynamic and engaging range of Torah teachers.

So what's new this year?

1. This year, we will have dedicated programming spaces. These include:

  • A main stage for all music and theatrical performances.
  • A spoken word arena (which is an amazing old barn) for sessions related to storytelling, poetry and literature.
  • A Torah Tent for everything covering Torah, text study and spirituality.
  • A Social Action Hub.
  • A movement tent where we will be holding session ranging from Torah yoga to lindy hop classes.
  • A film and visual arts centre.

This is in addition to a beautiful forest on our doorstep for anything nature related, and a rope course, climbing wall and other outdoor adventure facilities.

2. Creative, Out of the Box sessions.

Fancy a midnight hike? Elul study sessions based on the poetry of Bob Dylan? Participating in a play reading? Well these are just some of the options waiting for you in a programme filled with inspiring, Festastic sessions.

3. Our Open Mic Dvar Torah Project

Unleash you inner Rabbi and be part of the programme! In the spirit of open mic poetry and music events, prepare a Dvar Torah 5-7 minutes long and you will be judged by the audience on content and presentation. Please register to participate at fest12-openmic@limmud.org.

4. Barmitzvah Disco

In addition to our legendary silent disco there will be a Barmitzvah Disco with enough cheesy tunes (without the teenage angst) to keep you dancing 'til the early hours of the morning.

5. Fantastic Presenters.
