Limmud at Home
Limmud on one leg is a weekly Torah e-mail from a selection of educators who have taught at Limmud events.
The Chavruta Project is an international collaboration of Limmud volunteers, which creates first-class educational resources for Chavruta (one-to-one) learning. The Limmud Chavruta books contain a range of traditional and modern Jewish texts centered on a main theme - you can find out more and buy books from previous years here.
On Shavuot, it is traditional to stay up all night studying Torah, to remember the day when the Israelites were due to receive the Torah and overslept. Now you can use these e-resources from 2014 and 2015 to study at this year's Shavuot. They were put together by an international team of Limmud volunteers: contact the Limmud office(office[at]limmud.org) for details.
Taste of Chavruta creates packs of Jewish sources, both ancient and modern, for study in pairs at home, on the train, at the dinner table or over the internet. The first project ran 2011-2012, exploring the theme of Authority. The second, 2013-2014, has been co-sponsored and authored by Hazon on the theme of Shmita, the sabbatical year.
Limmud has its own Shabbat book 'A Limmud Shabbat', which we use at our events and which is also available for sale, now in a freshly reprinted edition.
We've recorded a few sessions from recent Limmud events for you to enjoy online or to download to listen to later, either on your computer or your portable mp3-player or iPod.
