David Suissa (Moderator) is President of Tribe Media/Jewish Journal, where he has been writing a weekly column on the Jewish world since 2006. In 2015, he was awarded first prize for “Editorial Excellence” by the American Jewish Press Association. Prior to Tribe Media, David was founder and CEO of Suissa Miller Advertising, a marketing firm named “Agency of the Year” by USA Today. He sold his company in 2006 to devote himself full time to his first passion: Israel and the Jewish world.

Presenter Bios

Laura Geller is Rabbi Emerita of Temple Emanuel of Beverly Hills. Laura was the first Reform woman rabbi to be selected as the Senior Rabbi of a major metropolitan congregation. Laura has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including being named one of Newsweek's 50 Most Influential Rabbis in America for two years in a row, and receiving the California State Legislature's Woman of the Year Award.

Adam Kligfeld is Senior Rabbi of Temple Beth Am in Los Angeles. He teaches at the Pressman Academy Day School and Religious School. Adam serves on the Committee on Jewish Law and Standards of the Conservative Movement. One of his passions is building bridges and connections within the Jewish community, and he has been instrumental in organizing events bringing together members from myriad local congregations from a variety of denominations.

Lori Schneide Shapiro is the founder of The Open Temple centered in Venice, CA. Lori’s transdenominational rabbinate wasinformed by her studies at the American Jewish University, years living in Israel studying within an Orthodox Jewish framework and graduation from both the Academy for Jewish Religion/California as well as the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. Rabbi Lori and The Open Temple are a part of a national incubator supporting cutting edge and innovative Jewish programming mentored by Rabbis Without Borders and CLAL.

Eli Fink was the rabbi at the Shul on the Beach in Venice CA for 8 years where his unique brand of Orthodox Judaism and intrepid online religious community were the reasons The Forward called him one of America’s Most Inspiring Rabbis in 2014. In 2015 he launched a consulting firm that specializes in digital branding, social media storytelling, and writing empathetically. At the Journal, Eli writes a weekly column about the convergence of pop culture and spirituality called Soul of Hollywood, heads the web team, and is the producer for all Jewish Journal digital content.
