Vanessa Ackerman is a Cambridge based actress and educator. She has played leading roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Court Theatre, and Howard Barker’s company The Wrestling School amongst others as well as for television and radio. She also works as a translator, voice over artist and has worked with emerging playwrights across new writing venues. She teaches drama to children and students of all ages and abilities and is a visiting lecturer for the Sorbonne University in Paris. Vanessa trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and holds an MA from the Shakespeare Institute.
Neta Bat-El Bracha Amior has a variety of experiences with young children including work experience at a nursery for children with special needs. Much of her work has focused on arts and crafts. She now works with children at Gan Yeladim, Cambridge, where she thoroughly enjoys teaching about the Jewish festivals through art, craft and song.
Liz Andrews, a popular presenter at Cambridge Limmud is back. She has a keen interest in Jewish education and has enjoys teaching songs and stories to children of many ages. Liz is a keen musician and lectures undergraduate and postgraduate science.
Richard Berengarten is an internationally celebrated Jewish poet who has lived in Italy, Greece, former Yugoslavia and the USA. He is an international expert in delivering poetry workshops for young people and his extensive experience in education has been an influence on his own writing. Revital Berger Shloman Young Limmud is delighted to have this very popular and innovative presenter back again! Revital has worked in three countries. In Israel she was a youth worker and educator, in the UK she is fondly remembered as a Shalichut, and now in France. Revital is currently working in Paris as the director of the Talmud-Tora of MJLF. She is passionate about promoting cultural dialogue.
Aga Cahn is a teacher, an educator and a writer. She has been awarded MA in Literature and Theatre Studies at the Jagiellonian University (Krakow) and MSt in Jewish-Christian Relations (University of Cambridge). Aga is the founder and vice-chairman of Myslenice Community Association.
Genevieve Guetemme is a visual artist working with traditional and digital media. Her recent artwork includes charcoal drawing as well as photography and film. Alexandra Lyons set up Al’s Little Singers – the alternative baby music group with soul – five years ago following a career in print journalism. She now runs multiple guitar-led sessions every week from venues in north London for pre-schoolers and their parents and carers. Determined to bring good music to children and adults alike she makes sure each session includes a diverse range of songs from all over the world. Al will be leading the session with her two sons Oscar and Benjy and her musician husband Gideon.
Alice Kristina Rose is a theatre designer and scenic artist based between London and Hampshire. She splits her time between freelance work for companies such as Oily Cart and the Little Angel Theatre, and her own company, Tigerboat Theatre. Through puppetry and traditional storytelling, Alice engages even the youngest of audiences. A regular at JW3, she crates irresistibly immersive worlds for early years audiences.
