Dawn Waterman – Hidden Treasures
Dawn is Archives and Heritage Manager at the Board of Deputies, where she is leading “Hidden Treasures”, a project celebrating treasures from Jewish archives which tell the story of the Jews in Britain. We are looking to Dawn to unearth some sparkling local treasures from the John Rylands Library.
Noemie Lopian – Why I want to impact the world today: how I found out about my parents’ past, the effect on me and my hope to have an effect on others
Noemie, a qualified GP, now dedicates her time to Holocaust education and commemoration, continuing the legacy of her mother and father, Holocaust survivors at a young age in France and Poland respectively. Her recent translation of her father’s memoirs written shortly after the war, “The Long Night”, has received widespread acclaim.
Katy Lipson – Have I got a show for you!
Manchester-born Katy is an award winning theatre producer who set up Aria Entertainment in 2012. Since then she has produced over 60 shows in London and, more locally, at Hope Mill Theatre where she was the Producing Artistic Director for all their in-house musicals from 2016 to 2019. She has also set up From Page to Stage, an international festival and celebration of musical theatre showcasing new musicals at all different stages of development. In 6 years, it has given a platform to over 100 new musicals.
Chaired by – Lindsey Kushner
We are delighted that retired Judge Lindsey Kushner QC has agreed to add extra sparkle to the evening by chairing the event. Judge Kushner entered the bar in 1974 and her distinguished career saw her made a QC in 1992 and then a Judge in 2000. She retired from the bench in 2017.
