The Hilton Birmingham Metropole will be the central hub for the whole of Limmud Festival, including our Families and Young & Teen Programme. All Families accommodation will be located within the Hilton.
This year, we are also offering premium rooms (complete with daily cleaning) at the nearby Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC, a 4* hotel that has recently been renovated. This option can be booked through Limmud Festival.
Booking Your Own Accommodation (including Limmud Participant Exclusive Discounts)

The AC Hotel Birmingham NEC is a 3* hotel. Previously Ibis Styles NEC, and situated close to the train station and walking distance from the hotel.
The Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC is a 4* hotel that has recently been renovated.

The Moxy Birmingham NEC is a Marriot boutique 4* hotel. It is a new hotel on the NEC complex, and is situated very close to the Hilton. There is no discounted rate for this hotel.

Family Accommodation: For families coming to Festival, there are three options in the accommodation list.
Please note that child and teen places are heavily subsidised and where possible children will be accommodated with parents/guardians
Families with one child
Will be allocated one room with the adult(s) and child in the same room.
Families with 2-3 young children (children who are too young to stay in their own rooms)
Will be allocated one room with adult(s) and children in the same room, or an interconnecting room subject to limited availability.
Families with 2+ older children
Will be given two rooms. For this option the adult(s) should select their own Hilton accommodation from those available, as well as selecting the children-only room for the children. If you would like your teen to share a room with a friend, please have both families email office@limmud.org to request this.
Family Prices: The price for an adult to be in a family room is the same as an adult in a shared room. Child prices are all the same, whether they share a room with siblings or their parents/guardians.
Prices are per person and not per room, so you will pay for the number of people on your booking, not the number of rooms.
Premium options at the Crowne Plaza include:
- Individuals (single room)
- Couples (double room)
- Shared occupancy with two single beds (twin room)
- Housekeeping is included daily with all Crowne Plaza accommodation.

Shared Rooms:
If you wish to share your room with a partner or friend, you can indicate this on the registration form. You do not need to submit your booking at the same time, but you will both need to be attending Festival for the same period, select the same type of accommodation, and name each other as preferred room mates on the registration form.
If you are not coming to Festival with a partner or friend, a popular option is to share a room with two single beds. You can indicate this option on the registration form by booking a Twin room. Our accommodation team will then match you up with a suitable room mate – a great way to meet new people!
*Individuals: please note these rooms are not an “upgrade” but a participant is paying a supplement for their own room and not to share.
The finer details:
- WiFi is available for free in all public areas of the hotel. Details will be provided on your arrival at Limmud Festival.
- To make Festival as affordable as possible, Hilton hotel rooms will not be cleaned as standard during your stay. This is only provided with Crowne Plaza Premium accommodation.
- As we have negotiated a group rate, it will not be possible to accrue loyalty points from any of the Hilton for your stay at Limmud Festival.
- Some of the single occupancy bedrooms in the Hilton Metropole which we will be using for Limmud Festival 2026 do not have a bathroom door. Instead, a contemporary screen separates the bathroom area from the rest of the bedroom. If you would prefer to have a traditional room with a lockable bathroom door, then please indicate this on your registration form under special requirements and we will try to do our best to provide your preferred room, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to provide this.
- Each booking will be subject to a room deposit of £28 per adult, to cover our costs in the unlikely event of damage, charges to your room or late check-out. Deposits will be refundable after Festival upon request. It will also be possible to make a charitable donation to Limmud from your room deposit – more details will be provided at the event. Ticking the Gift Aid box on the registration form when you book will allow Gift Aid to be claimed on this donation if you choose to make it.
- Though we are staying in a highly rated hotel, to keep the cost of Limmud Festival as low as possible, certain facilities will have a nominal extra charge including:
- Additional towels are available from reception. Please check with the hotel for exact costs.
- Hilton Pool and Gym (Living well) will be open for participants during the facility’s opening hours. To use the facilities, there will be a charge (details to follow) . Please note this is not an exclusive hire for Limmud
- Charges will apply for using the telephone for all calls including local and international numbers. Please check with the hotel for exact costs.
- Charges will apply for “Pay per View” channels from the hotel rooms. Please check with the hotel for exact costs.
If you want to use such services, you will need to pay the relevant hotel directly who may request a credit card deposit.

If you do have any accommodation requirements owing to accessibility needs, please fill in the needs form when booking your festival place. If you have already booked your tickets, please email or call the Limmud Office to inform us, and we can update your booking for you. We take accommodation requirements as priority over accommodation requests.
