The Hilton Birmingham Metropole will be the central hub for the whole of Limmud Festival, including our Families and Young & Teen Programme. All Families accommodation will be located within the Hilton.
This year, we are also offering premium rooms (complete with daily cleaning) at the nearby Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC, a 4* hotel that has recently been renovated. This option can be booked through Limmud Festival.
Booking Your Own Accommodation (including Limmud Participant Exclusive Discounts)
If you would like to book your own accommodation, please see our recommended hotels in the NEC area. We have exclusive discounted rates for both the ibis Styles and the Crowne Plaza.
The ibis Styles Birmingham NEC is a 3* hotel. We have a discounted rate of £55 per room per night, room only, plus £6 per day car parking (half price).

The Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC is a 4* hotel that has recently been renovated. We have a discounted rate of £75 per room per night, room only.

The Moxy Birmingham NEC is a Marriot boutique 4* hotel. It is a new hotel on the NEC complex, and is situated very close to the Hilton.
If you are arriving early and wish to book accommodation for Thursday 21 December at the Hilton, please get in touch with the office@limmud.org for details before you book with the Hilton.

- Family rooms:
Families have the option of either adults (parents/guardians) sharing with their children, or having adults in a room next to their children’s room. Family rooms are only in the Hilton this year. Please book accordingly. Families can book:
Families Double/Twin + Sofa Bed Room
This option is for adults and children to share the same room. A room with either a double bed or 2 twin beds, plus a sofa bed. The sofa bed can either be a single bed or a double bed. (Please note there is a limited number of double sofa bed options. Please note that there is a limited availability of double sofa beds, and it is first come first served – please contact the office if you wish to request a double sofa bed).
Families Shared Child Only Room for 2-3 children
A children room that only children share, for 2-3 children. This room will come with 2 twin beds, and a single sofa bed can be set up in that room too. This room will be as close as possible to the adult’s room. Adults should book either a single or shared room on the same booking, and our accommodation team will pair up the rooms so the adult and child rooms are next-door each other. (Please note that there is a limited number of interconnecting rooms, and it is first come first served – please contact the office if you wish to request an interconnecting room).
Families can book either or both of these types of room options on the registration form, depending on the number of children and adults you have in your family.
Family Prices: The price for an adult to be in a family room is the same as an adult in a shared room. Child prices are all the same, whether they share a room with siblings or their parents/guardians. Prices are per person and not per room, so you will pay for the number of people on your booking, not the number of rooms.

Shared Rooms:
If you wish to share your room with a partner or friend, you can indicate this on the registration form. You do not need to submit your booking at the same time, but you will both need to be attending Festival for the same period, select the same type of accommodation, and name each other as preferred roommates on the registration form.
If you are not coming to Festival with a partner or friend, a popular option is to share a room with two single beds. You can indicate this option on the registration form by booking a Twin room. Our accommodation team will then match you up with a suitable roommate – a great way to meet new people!
The finer details:
- WiFi is available for free in all public areas of the hotel. Details will be provided on your arrival at Limmud Festival.
- To make Festival as affordable as possible, hotel rooms will not be cleaned as standard during your stay.
- As we have negotiated a group rate, it will not be possible to accrue loyalty points from any of the Hilton for your stay at Limmud Festival.
- Some of the single bedrooms in the Hilton Metropole which we will be using for Limmud Festival 2023 do not have a bathroom door. Instead, a contemporary screen separates the bathroom area from the rest of the bedroom. If you would prefer to have a traditional room with a lockable bathroom door, then please indicate this on your registration form and we will try to do our best to provide your preferred room.
- Each booking will be subject to a room deposit of £28 per adult, to cover our costs in the unlikely event of damage, charges to your room or late check-out. Deposits will be refundable after Festival upon request. It will also be possible to make a charitable donation to Limmud from your room deposit – more details will be provided at the event. Ticking the Gift Aid box on the registration form when you book will allow Gift Aid to be claimed on this donation if you choose to make it.
- Though we are staying in a highly rated hotel, to keep the cost of Limmud Festival as low as possible, certain facilities will have a nominal extra charge including:
- Entry to the swimming pool, the spa and gym (£5 per entry per person per visit). Please note these facilities will be closed on Christmas Day and the Bank Holidays during the Festival.
- Charges will apply for using the telephone for all calls including local and international numbers. Please check with the hotel for exact costs.
- Charges will apply for “Pay per View” channels from the hotel rooms. Please check with the hotel for exact costs.
- If you want to use such services, you will need to pay the relevant hotel directly who may request a credit card deposit.
Accommodation Requirements and Requests
If you do have any accommodation requirements owing to accessibility needs, please fill in the needs form when booking your festival place. If you have already booked your tickets, please email or call the Limmud Office to inform us, and we can update your booking for you. We take accommodation requirements as priority over accommodation requests, but we do operate on a ‘first come first serve’ basis as there is limited availability for some of the accessible options at the hotels.
