Join us at Limmud Festival for a fun, all-inclusive week off, where catering, childcare, entertainment and accommodation is included!
Limmud Festival is a great place for families. You will have 7 hours of childcare during the days when your child will be welcomed into the creche or the Young, Teen Limmud programme. Parents can spend the day exploring the programme, happy in the knowledge that your children are being inspired by our Madrichol (young leaders) who will guide them through an exciting, interactive programme from morning until early evening.
You will get the time to enjoy the main Festival programme, socialise in the café with your friends, learn a new skill in the Limmud workshops, attend the sessions on philosophy, climate, art and culture – or even present yourself! In the evenings, we offer baby listening, so that you can enjoy the evening activities or socialise with a drink at the bar. At Limmud Festival, all food is included, with entertainment provided for your children.
Our Families lounge will be open for you to hang out and play with other families, with bedtime stories every night in the lounge. The Hilton swimming pool and spa are available (at a small cost) and the lakeside walk is pram friendly. As with last year, all Families will be accommodated in the Hilton hotel, on the same site as the main programme, but there are limited places for this so please register early to avoid disappointment.
Families
Pre-schoolers (over the age of 3 months to 4 years old) can spend the day with our nurturing, qualified early years practitioners in the Limmud Nursery.
Nursery/Creche is SOLD OUT: Due to exceptional demand, our Families programme is now sold out. If you would like to be added to a waiting list for under 4s, please contact office@limmud.org. We advise that you book you and any other children in online before any other age groups sell out.
Limmud will be running a baby-listening service from Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings (7.30 pm-10.30 pm). Our baby listeners provide a babysitting service for settled-in-bed and sleeping children in the evening. Our baby listeners will contact the parents/guardians to come and resettle their child if they wake up. Our baby listeners do not go into the rooms. To opt for this service, please ensure you tick this on your registration in the parental consent form, as the baby listening will only take place in specific corridors in the hotel.
Young and Teen Limmud (YTL)
During the day, your children will meet other young Jewish people of their age, as they take part in a YOUNG LIMMUD programme (for those in Primary School), or a TEEN LIMMUD programme (for those in secondary school). Our year 11s will have a specially designed leadership training programme to help prepare to lead from next year!
Our young leaders have prepared a programme with sessions varying from music, Jewish thought, arts and crafts, sports, drama, as well as special presenters delivering sessions directly prepared for your children. Teenagers will have an option to spend their time in the Teen programme, or in sessions in the main programme. When evening comes, we have night club too for those who enjoyed the day’s programme so much they wanted an extra bite of YTL fun!
Who can join our Families & YTL Programme?
All residential children are automatically added into our creche or YTL programme.
Please note that YTL programme is only available to children who book a residential place, or if they book a non-residential place and arriving either Friday/Saturday/Sunday and leaving on Wednesday.
We don’t offer YTL programming for children who come for the middle of the event or only for a day place. Teens aged 15+ can come non-residentially but must join the main programme, and infants under 12 months who are too young to be in the creche can come free.
Please contact the Limmud Office for more information on how to book.
