Location and getting to Festival
Limmud Festival will be taking place in the hotels surrounding Pendigo Lake, near Birmingham, UK.
There are many options for getting to Festival:
As always, Limmud will be organising several options for travel to Festival by coach. Limmud coaches are available for travel to/from Golders Green, Edgware, Borehamwood, Stanmore, Finchley Central, Victoria, Heathrow Airport, Leeds and Manchester. All coaches will depart on the morning of Sunday 22 December and return on Thursday 26 December in the afternoon. In addition, coaches from Golders Green and Heathrow Airport are available on Friday morning for travel to Limmud Festival for Shabbat.
Coach options can be booked via the application form. If you’ve already booked your Festival place and now want to reserve a seat on a coach (and pay), please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
All coach options are available subject to demand. If there is insufficient bookings for a particular option, we will not be able to run it. Please do not assume you can book onto a coach at the last minute.
Public transport will not be running on Wednesday 25 December and with a heavily reduced service on Thursday 26 December. Therefore, we highly recommend that participants book their coach place in advance of arriving at Festival.
If you are coming from/ returning to Manchester or Leeds, please contact the Office by 23 October.
Each coach journey is £33, this includes an amount to enable us to carbon-offset the journey.
Festival is within easy walking distance of Birmingham International train and coach stations. Please note that public transport will not be running on Wednesday 25 December and with a heavily reduced service on Thursday 26 December. Therefore, we highly recommend that participants organise their return journey in advance of arriving at Festival.
If you are travelling to London or Heathrow and wanting to have a place on one of the Limmud-organised coaches, you must book this in advance of Festival either via the registration form or by contacting the Limmud Office directly.
Pendigo Lake is conveniently situated near the M6 and M42, making the drive simple from either the north or south. Parking is available on-site at the hotels used by Festival.
In the run up to Limmud Festival we will provide a ride share board where people can offer and accept rides to and from Festival.
Please note, Limmud hosts the ride share site but is not responsible for maintaining it.
If you have any further questions, please email the Limmud Office.
