One of Limmud’s core values is that participation and volunteerism go hand in hand. We believe that we are all responsible for each other and for the communities we create, and we know that everyone has an important contribution to make.
We encourage all our participants to build our Limmud Festival community through diverse and inclusive volunteering opportunities.
We are offering a significantly reduced rates for participants who take part in our volunteering schemes – the Festival Maker and the Yad schemes (aged 18-35).
Our Festival Makers undertake 16 hours of volunteering across the week, alongside like-minded volunteers, in return for a significant discount.
Participants aged 18-35 can take part in the Yad scheme, which will focus on promoting opportunities for personal development. This involves building on your skills and experience within Limmud and beyond, alongside social events to meet new people and feel part of the Yad community. Being part of the Yad programme will involve a small additional commitment to Yad community events, but also comes with a larger discount!
You can opt to join the Festival Maker and Yad schemes when you book your place at Festival.
You can also volunteer as a Madrich/a, youth leaders who work as a team to ensure each child at Young and Teen Limmud (YTL) has a fantastic experience. Find out more on the YTL page.
If you’re attending for Shabbat, you can volunteer for an additional 6 hours for a further discount.
Limmud festival is run entirely by volunteers so if you have some spare time during the event and want to meet some new people, pop down to the volunteering desk to give us a hand, even if you only have 20 minutes to give, we’d love to see you there.
