One of Limmud’s core values is that participation and volunteerism go hand in hand. We believe that we are all responsible for each other and for the communities we create, and we know that everyone has an important contribution to make.
This year we are encouraging all our participants to build our Limmud Festival community through diverse and inclusive volunteering opportunities.
One of the ways that Limmud is made by you is through our volunteering schemes. In return for a significant reduction off your place, you can contribute meaningfully to running Festival by undertaking 16 hours of volunteering across the week, alongside like-minded participants, as a Festival Maker or part of the Yad scheme (aged 18-35).
The Yad scheme will focus on promoting opportunities for personal development, involving building on your skills and experience within Limmud and beyond, alongside social events to meet new people and feel part of the Yad community. Being part of the Yad programme will involve a small additional commitment to Yad community events, but also comes with a larger discount!
If you’re attending for Shabbat, you can volunteer for an additional 6 hours for a further discount.
Limmud festival is run entirely by volunteers so if you have some spare time during the event and want to meet some new people, pop down to the volunteering desk to give us a hand, even if you only have 20 minutes to give, we’d love to see you there.
