Limmud FSU has risen to the coronavirus challenge, uniting participants across three continents in its recent eFest.
In its largest online festival to date, the international organisation for Russian-speaking Jews assembled a diverse range of speakers and topics, covering off a debate on the two state solution, Moroccan cookery, the scientific complexity of Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system, and a Hasidic response to dealing with life’s uncertainties.
Presenters included Russian-Israeli author Dina Rubina, spokesman for Hebron’s Jewish community Yishai Fleisher, scientist Ari Sacher, and Yeshiva University professor Rabbi Mordechai Becher.
The event attracted more than 500 viewers on three continents with sessions in both Russian and English.
