The Limmud team in Manchester has been getting the City moving again despite lockdown with an extremely successful taster event online.
More than 600 people joined for a moderated Q&A with Louise Ellman, Labour MP from 1997 to 2019 on ‘What do recent issues with the Labour party say about the future of British Jews?’; Clive Lawton, CEO of the Commonwealth Jewish Council, Limmud co-founder on ‘Jewish timescales – the next 200 years’ and Robyn Ashworth-Steen, Rabbi at Manchester Reform Synagogue, for thoughts on the slogan “And on the sixth day, God created Manchester…”‘
The team is already working on future online and potentially offline events to continue to bring the community together.
(This event took place on Tuesday 9 June 2020)
