With physical synagogue services made impossible as a result of the Coronavirus lockdown, Limmud communities around the world have responded, and opened up to global visitors to join them in welcoming in Shabbat.

Limmud China has been running regular Friday afternoon sessions in Taipei and Shanghai, Limmud Mallorca has offered Kabbalat Shabbat in a combination of Spanish and English, while Limmud Galil in Northern Israel has been running a pre-Shabbat Friday programme once a week.  

In every case, the groups have found ways to make the restrictions a strength for them, and have grown closer and become more creative as a result.
