Following the success of last year’s Young Leadership Programme, we are excited to share details of this year’s programme!
The Young Leadership Programme is a brilliant chance to participate in Limmud Festival while connecting with other young Jewish leaders, learning more about who you are and what you care about, and understanding how Limmud can support you to make an impact in the Jewish community. This programme empowers young leaders aged 20-32 to be part of Limmud Festival for the heavily subsided price of £100 (average price of Festival is £650) – this includes all programming, accommodation, and food.

I’m in! What’s the application process?
You can apply for the programme below. Please apply for the programme before signing up to Festival. If you are accepted on to the programme, you will receive a discount code for your place and can then sign up. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
The deadline for applications is Sunday 29th October at 23:59.
If you’d like to chat about the programme before applying, then please feel free to reach out to Joe Hyman, Director of Innovation & Engagement, for a chat – joe@limmud.org
What does it look like to be part of the programme?
If you’re offered a place on the Young Leadership Programme you will be able to:
- Attend Limmud Festival as a full participant from Friday 22 December to Wednesday 27th December, with access to 100s of sessions on everything Jewish under the sun – from comedy to text study, to music, to politics – from the world’s best Jewish educators and performers.
- Meet brilliant people from across diverse Jewish communities around the world.
- Contribute meaningfully to the running of Festival as part of our volunteering programme, committing to volunteering for 10 hours total across the event, in an area of your choice.
- Be part of a dedicated programme of sessions each day to meet, learn from, and network with other young Jewish leaders. This will include 2 hours of programming each day for the delegation.
This programme is an investment in you and your Jewish journey, and your subsidy is contingent on attending all elements of the programme when you are at Festival. Our funding relies on this and hence a lack of attendance will mean that we will have to charge you the remaining cost of your Limmud place. Your subsidy is based on a shared room place at the Hilton. If you’d like a single room, you’ll need to pay the difference yourself.
I am not sure I really feel like a leader, can I still apply?
Yes! We’re looking for people that care about the future of the UK Jewish community and not just people in formal leadership positions. The programme is created for people with diverse backgrounds and doesn’t assume any knowledge – the aim is for you to learn more about what your leadership could look like, find ways to activate it, and build a network to support you.
Are there other opportunities to develop my leadership at Festival?
Yes! If you’re looking for more hands-on leadership experience at Limmud Festival, then you can apply to be a leader for our Young & Teen Limmud programme where you’ll get to organise and run sessions for youth at Festival. To learn more. email Dan Grabiner on dang@limmud.org
